Victor Smith was educated in Durban and after completing his teacher education then taught at schools in Johannesburg and Durban. After sixteen years as an educator, Victor moved to a private training provider where his functions included management of the Fundamentals Training Department and special projects. He also oversaw development of course curricula, development of course material; translation of SAQA curricula to training manuals and translation of best international business practice into course materials. He also conducted adult training courses; leading educational seminars and workshops as well as new business development and assessing. He was also closely engaged with the CETA; ESETA; Umalusi and the Department of Education on various levels.

Victor moved to the Master Builders KwaZulu-Natal where he now serves as the Training Manager. He is also a member of Master Builders Association of South Africa (MBSA) Education and Training Committee. During this time, he has managed the development of 6 Occupational Qualifications in line with the QCTO model and the publication of Energy Saving Building Methods.

Victor is a member of the SACPCMP Voluntary Association Forum and sits on the KZN HRDC Technical task Team for Continuing and Worker Education

Mandisa Khumalo oversees the implementation Association's special projects, they include the Emerging Contractor Programme, Vuka Mhaki Programme and the Association's Bursary Fund. 


Prishana Maharaj graduated with a Master of Commerce degree, specializing in Human Resource Management. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD), specializing in Leadership. Prishana has over 10 years of experience in the fields of training and development, human resource management, facilitation and much more. Her current position at the Association is a Skills Development Facilitator.


Londokuhle Majola provides administrative support to the Training department to ensure efficient delivery of the Association’s training objectives.
